New invention: GEO-SW@T: Innovative landslide prediction using seismic signal analyses

An inventor from Malaysia presented at the Brussels Innova Invention Fair 2013 the invention: GEO-SW@T: Innovative landslide prediction using seismic signal analyses.

This invention consists of using Multichannel analyses of surface wave (MASW) method to investigate the hazardous zone for landslides that allows online data to obtain near surface soil profiles. Seismic signal from sledgehammer is recorded by seismograph interfacing with geophones that are positioned in an array. Fast Fourier Transformations are processed using Matlab to obtain cross spectral density from signal spectrum. A software GEO-SW@AT is developed to identify landslide risks with investigations of geotechnical properties of soil through seismic signal.

This invention has a potential for broad international application. The inventor is interested in commercialization of his already patented invention and is seeking appropriate interested manufacturer.
