Renewal fees for European patents

According to Article 141 of the European Paten Convention (EPC) ,

Renewal fees for a European patent may only be imposed for the years which follow that referred to in Article 86, paragraph 2 of EPC. According to Article 86 EPC these fees shall be due in respect of the third year and each subsequent year, calculated from the date of filing of the application

The obligation to pay renewal fees shall terminate with the payment of the renewal fee due in respect of the year in which the mention of the grant of the European patent is published in the European Patent Bulletin.

Any renewal fees falling due within two months of the publication in the European Patent Bulletin of the mention of the grant of the European patent shall be deemed to have been validly paid if they are paid within that period. Any additional fee provided for under national law shall not be charged.
