New invention: Smart sun-tracking “light-blade” photovoltaic module

An inventor from Taiwan presented at the Nuremberg IENA Invention Fair 2013 his invention:

Smart sun-tracking “light-blade” photovoltaic module.

This invention consists of solar panels made as like blades of blinds and LEDs designed on solar panel’s back-lighted sides which together form a photovoltaic (PV) module. These “bladed” solar panels use the sun light on one side and emit the LED light on the other side. The solar panels are also directly treated as sun-tracking sensors by originally applying the program-controlled mechanical theory to reduce the additional components and add benefits.

This invention has a potential for broad international application, and its application will overcome the shortcomings of occupying the space and ugliness on nowadays solar system.

The inventor is interested in commercialization of its patented invention, and is seeking appropriate interested manufacturer. EPO Patent Registration Services and Consulting GmbH has made direct contact with the inventor and has access to information about the invention directly from the inventor.
