New Invention: Acoustic emission monitoring of buildings and constructions

An inventor from Russia presented at the Brussels Innova Invention Fair 2013 the invention: Acoustic emission monitoring of buildings and constructions.

Description of the invention:

This is an intelligent system for monitoring the status of buildings and structures. Diagnosis of industrial facilities implemented in different ways, but none of them can identify 100% generated defects. Problem is particularly acute on hydropower, nuclear power and oil industries. Comprehensive monitoring of industrial facilities is proposed to supplement the intellectual acoustic emission monitoring system, it will significantly earlier (5 - 6 times) to give the alarm, as compared with the standard methods of diagnosis. Using acoustic emission system will extend the life of equipment, increasing the likelihood of prevention of industrial accidents and disasters.

Main characteristics:

  • Analysis of the acoustic strain wave,
  • Prevention of damage to buildings and engineering structure,
  • Increasing efficiency of electricity and water supply systems,
  • Reduce costs of infrastructure maintenance.

This invention has a potential for broad international application. The inventor is interested in commercialization of the invention and is seeking appropriate interested manufacturer.
