According to Article 62 and other articles of the European Patent Convention (EPC),
The inventor shall have the right, vis-à-vis the applicant for or proprietor of a European patent, to be mentioned as such before the European Patent Office.
The designation of the inventor is to be made with the European patent application. If the applicant is not the inventor or is not the sole inventor, the designation shall contain a statement indicating the origin of the right to the European patent.
